Tis the Season
With Halloween just wrapping up and Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday just around the corner these next few weeks will be busy. Now that your creative side has been exercised through playing dress-up on Halloween, it is time to start saving your pennies for the shopping holidays ahead. However, there is one other major holiday that we need to be getting prepped for -- the end of college football season. This year most rivalry games will take place on November 28th, and you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be cheering on the Gamecocks as they (hopefully) crush the Clemson Tigers.
Whether you support Clemson, Carolina, or another college football team, make sure that you are decked out in your team's colors and ready to tailgate on November 28th. Some quick tips can be found below for hosting a successful tailgate for the big game:
- Food: chips, dip, fried chicken, sliders, veggies, fruit - make sure you are well-fed before the festivities get underway.
- Games: Cornhole, beer pong, cards, or whatever else you have in mind. Games are a great way to entertain a crowd before the kickoff.
- Libations: Beer, a themed cocktail for your team, and don't forget plenty of water - staying hydrated is key to making it through the day.
- Make sure to have a designated driver, if you plan on going anywhere before, during, or after the game.
If you have any tips or tricks to making sure your tailgate is as much fun as the game, please comment below. Also, submit your game day pictures to laura.saum@swellshades.com. The best dressed fan will receive a special Swell gift bag - something for yourself, or to share as gifts this holiday season. (Make sure to rep your Swell shades with your team's swag!)
